My Students

My students are curious about their world and love learning through reading, writing, and hands-on activities. Our school is in a small rural community filled with students yearning to discover new things. Our students missed coming to school daily and cannot wait to rejoin friends and teachers at school!

Educating a child is all about providing knowledge, offering opportunities, guiding collaboration, accommodating societal shifts, and nurturing relationships.

As a teacher, it is my passion to do whatever I can to allow all of my students to learn through unique experiences. Often they simply need a catalyst to inspire them and they will exceed expectations. My job as their teacher is to find the sparks to help them discover their talents and the opportunities to grow!

My Project

I will be teaching in the classroom with blended learning so that we may pivot to at-home learning if needed this year. Students need individual tools as per CDC guidelines. Hands-on practice is best for first graders with phonics and spelling. I need more letters to finish making phonics/spelling letter kits for each student to use in class and at home.

In order to model great writing and help students with problem-solving, I need to be able to write on the board for lessons whether we are in the classroom or they are learning from home!

The XP pen is a tool that allows me to write on the board and in computer applications to model and assist learners.
