My Project
Our goal is to create an engaging and interactive story time experience for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Autism Special Needs classes by incorporating big books into our curriculum. Big books are oversized versions of children's books that make it easier for young students and those with special needs to see the illustrations and follow along with the story. These books will help foster a love for reading, improve literacy skills, and provide a sensory-friendly learning environment.
Our goal is to enhance literacy skills, promote engagement, support special needs, and encourage interactive learning through the use of big books.
These oversized books will help children develop essential literacy skills such as vocabulary, comprehension, and phonemic awareness. The large format and vivid illustrations will capture the attention of young learners, keeping them engaged during story time. For children with autism and other special needs, big books offer a visual and tactile experience that can be more accessible and enjoyable. Additionally, teachers can use these books to create interactive story sessions, encouraging students to participate, ask questions, and express their thoughts.
