This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have been creating interactive notebooks with my students for 2 years now. We essentially create a book to help students study the course materials and students can use the notebook on their exams.
Coming into middle school is a big transition for 11-year-old students, and I try to make the transition easy by providing my students with the materials they will need for success.
These notebooks allow students to learn organization skills and to be held accountable for their work and study. From my experience, the notebooks are very useful, and the students appreciate them. They enjoy creating a "textbook" where they can study and see how much they have accomplished at the end of the year.
