Interactive Science Notebooks

My students need materials to craft activities in their Interactive Notebooks and storage bins to store their notebooks in the classroom.

My Students

Many of my students cannot afford general school supplies. Interactive notebooks are a great way for students to relate science to real world experiences. The hands-on activities presented by interactive notebooks increases participation and motivation in the classroom.

My 7th grade students are full of energy and excitement.

They love hands-on labs and activities that allow them to channel their inner creativity in the science room. I have over 100 students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Interactive notebooks are a great way to connect challenging topics to real-world situations for all student abilities to understand.

My Project

With the supplies provided through DonorsChoose, my students will be able to color, cut, and paste their creativity into their science notebooks. Diagrams, experiments, and reflections can be drawn into the notebooks to record mind-boggling experiences for challenging topics. These notebooks can be used to study for exams, and be used to inspire ideas for Science Fair projects and experiments. By drawing, cutting, and pasting their ideas, reflections, and activities into their notebooks, students will have an interactive journal of their entire 7th grade science experience.

The donations received through DonorsChoose will allow my students to use supplies that would not usually be obtainable for many of my students.

The fundamental materials required for Interactive Notebooks are costly and many of my students cannot afford to acquire these materials to use in the class. With a classroom set of materials for these students to use, they will be able to participate in every activity and be able to record their journey through 7th grade science.
