This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help these bundles of energy get centered! My students are young, excitable, and need a way to focus their energy in a positive way. Therefore, this year I have set out to make the most engaging classroom centers possible to make learning fun and get these curious minds up and moving!
I believe school should be a positive outlet for all students, especially mine.
My students not only struggle with emotional-behavioral and academic deficits, but they also come from low socio-economic backgrounds. They spend a significant time of their days in school, and I am desperate in trying to make it the most fun and engaging learning experience possible for them!
My Project
A handy laminating machine (and laminating pouches) will allow me to create a more print-rich, colorful, and engaging classroom environment. Also, the first step to creating a fabulous literacy center would be to create a student-accessible organizer, where spelling words, vocabulary, and literacy skills and strategies are readily available.
By establishing a love for learning early on, I strongly believe I can help facilitate the development of lifelong learners and contributing future members of society!
