This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.
My kids are great!
They love learning and are so enthusiastic about sharing what they have learned. They are all my teachers assistants because they coach one another when help is needed. My school is great! They try to do the best with what they have. We could use a lot more book sets that could be used for shared reading, which is why I want an Elmo, but other than that my school is great!
My Project
My students will use this Elmo daily. I am always making 28 copies of books that I have shared by reading with them and this is wasting paper. Students love technology! Once they see a new book on the Elmo and how it projects, they will be so excited to read along which will result on higher reading levels. My goal is to get the kids more excited about reading and move up in level.
This would be a major improvement to the classroom.
I will be able to have shared reading on it, interactive writing, and many more activities that will have the kids reaching many of their goals. I know this will improve my students lives for the better because they will be more involved. My goal is to have my students achieve a higher level of academics that a they are enthusiastic about. They will reach their goals and want to continue making new ones.
