Interactive Reading Comprehension Materials

My students need comprehension folders, comprehension cards and reading skills cards to help improve their reading comprehension skills.

My Students

Many of my ESOL students sound like their native English peers, but struggle with understanding the information that they read.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

Most are born in the US but speak another language at home. Many of their families have limited financial means. They are still held to the same high academic standards as their native English speaking peers.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of small group activities to help improve my students reading comprehension skills. The Highlight Your Skills Reading Cards will provide practice in locating specific information in text. The Small-Group Nonfiction Comprehension Folders, and Read About... Biography Comprehension Cards have colorful pictures and simple to read text that come with comprehension building questions. The Building Comprehension Skills Activity Folders allow students to manipulate pieces and provide hands on compression practice. These reading materials will hold my students attention and push them to higher reading levels.

Please help my students continue down the road to academic success.

These materials will allow them to interact with texts in a fun and engaging way. With your help they will read and understand grade level material and develop a joy of learning that will last them a lifetime.
