Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your generosity will contribute to my students embracing the love of literacy and reading. It will positively impact their early development as they interact with these materials and equipment. Having a centralized unit where they can store their big books, and display them on the easel will allow my students to see and talk about the big picture as they focus on the illustrations and explore with curiosity. In addition, this unit will allow my students to enhance their organizational skills as they can store their books in the convenient section of this unit. My students will also be able to illustrate by using the markers on the white board in the front of the storage unit to present their favorite part of their book. My students will also use the cameras on their computer to access the educational software that will allow them to access technology as they learn about early literacy and math.

My students will embrace the love of reading, by illustrating and presenting their ideas. They are also gaining independence as they use the materials you generously provided by accessing their books. As they share their stories, illustrate and take turns, they are also enhancing their social skills by communicating, collaborating and helping each other. When they access technology to further enhance their education, they are using various modalities which will provide support and allow them to flourish.
