This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our diverse and inclusive classroom, I am dedicated to providing my students with hands-on, interactive learning experiences that align with the science of reading. My project focuses on developing essential phonics skills through engaging activities and art crafts, specifically designed to help students retell and explore fairy tales.
Goals:
Phonics Mastery: Implement interactive phonics activities that make learning fun and effective. These activities will cater to different learning styles and allow students to practice essential skills in a playful way.
Creative Retelling: Incorporate art and crafts that encourage students to retell fairy tales, fostering both literacy and creativity. Students will create their own story visuals, which will help deepen their understanding and retention of key story elements.
Inclusive Learning Environment: Address the needs of our economically disadvantaged students by providing them with resources that might otherwise be inaccessible. Every child deserves the opportunity to engage with high-quality learning materials.
