My Students
My fifth graders live in a diverse neighborhood in Queens, NY. They are an active, creative, lively group of boys and girls. They love to be active and engaged in hands-on projects that allow them to work together and communicate with each other.
My classroom is full of learners that encompass many different learning styles.
I try to incorporate a variety of strategies that help meet student's needs, such as small group work, flexible seating, choice, and project/inquiry-based learning to motivate them. I look forward to each day with them and to see what new and exciting things we can do together. I am excited to try new things and help them discover a world outside the classroom.
My Project
This easel will provide me with a place to display important information, such as anchor charts and graphic organizers, that will assist the students with their tasks. It will also allow lesson to be more interactive and allow participation in our mini - lesson activities. And finally, it will allow me to keep all white board materials, such as expo markers and magnets in one organized place.
Imagine teaching a lesson and having students be able to come up to the easel to interact and participate in a lesson.
This easel will make that easier because of it's magnetic surface.
