This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a strong community of learners in our city. My classes are composed of a diverse group of newcomers, gifted students, students with special needs, and students who will be 1st generation college students. I believe all of them can learn and apply math!

We use interactive notebooks daily to record our work so that it will be organized and available for review and reflection.

Using notebooks helps students to develop their note-taking skills and see the progression of the content. Having this routine helps students to learn skills that will help them to succeed in college and beyond.
