Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds. We are classified as an urban middle school and that brings challenges, but also benefits. With so much diversity students are learning multiple perspectives everyday.
The goal of this project is to provide students with interactive notebooks and supplies that will help keep history and geography engaging while deferring the cost for some of my students.
The diversity brings many perspectives, but the economic disadvantages can be limiting for students who do not have resources outside of the classroom. By providing my students with these needed materials I can ensure their success and engagement to a brand new topic of history.
