Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to build a classroom with interactive learning for all learners. A classroom that is rich in conversation, collaboration, and community.

From a morning message that greets my students as they walk in the door, to shared readings, poems, songs, and math talks, a new easel will allow all of my students to engage equally with new academic content.

This easel is mobile and will allow me to hang chart paper and pocket charts, as well as write messages. With a new easel, my students will be able to come up and share their ideas, discover new information, and add on or ask questions of their classmates. Over time, they will be able to pass the pen to one another and take charge of their own independent learning. They will have the confidence to share their learning and a place to show what they know.
