This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income homes in high-poverty neighborhoods. They come to school hungry and with a number of challenges. I see their eager faces every day as they show up to school willing to learn.

My students are motivated and excited about learning new things, reading interesting stories, and making lasting friendships.

Their enthusiasm is contagious and it inspires me to create lessons with fun activities. The majority of my students struggle in reading comprehension and writing.

My Project

The only material in my cart for this project consists of Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards that will allow me to purchase a variety of learning materials for my students throughout this school year. The materials that I will purchase on the Teachers Pay Teachers website include numerous subjects, such as Math, Reading, History, Health, and Science.

My students learn best when actively engaged in projects that involve cutting, pasting, and coloring.

The projects on the Teachers Pay Teachers website foster my students' creativity and gives them a break from the typical pencil and paper routines.
