My Students

My students are from an inner city section of Cleveland, known for unsafe streets. We focus on making safety one of our top concerns at school because a feeling of safety allows you to focus on learning while at school.

My students are fourth and fifth graders just trying to succeed in education with obstacles that we are trying to overcome to match our counterparts in more affluent areas.

I would like my students to be able to learn modern uses for technology such as Google Docs and online storage, to be ready for future careers.

My Project

We are looking for materials to create interactive fold-ables and to help keep our class neat and in order. We need tissues as we run out every winter, and do not want to use our arms to wipe our noses.

We would like scissors, glue, construction paper, and copy paper to be able to copy, cut, and glue our interactive math and science papers to show what we are learning.

We would like notebooks to use for our interactive science notebooks, which include interactive glued papers, and space for writing prompts.

We would like headphones to replace the headphones that have been broken in the classroom. We would also like dry erase markers to utilize our white boards more frequently in the class. We can always use more pencils, as we seem to lose pencils a lot during the day.
