This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a low-income neighborhood in Houston. They attend a Title 1 school. They work very hard to accomplish their yearly goals. As their teacher I do my best by providing them with differentiated instruction, with materials to target their individual needs.

This year I will loop with my former Kindergarteners to First Grade and be departmentalized teaching Math and Science.

Although this year will be a new experience for me, I would like to provide them with all of the fun Math concepts to help many of them transition back from learning virtually from home and back to the classrooms.

My Project

I would like to get this project funded to be able to provide my students with activities, centers, and resources to use during small group instruction.

By providing me with this gift card, I will be able to produce interactive journals for all my students.

Interactive journals can help my students review, study, organize their notes, and process the information provided to them in the lesson. Students are able to continue practicing their fine motor skills by continuing cutting, pasting, and folding.

As a teacher it can help me plan, assess, and reach my student's needs.
