I teach a wonderfully diverse group of second graders. They come from a variety of cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.
Despite their differences, the one thing that all of my students have in common is a love for technology.
While we enjoy many traditional classroom activities I find that my students are most engaged when using the latest technology, especially when it allows for hands on experiences. These precious young learners are living in the exciting world of 21st-century technology.
My Project
I plan to use this requested iPad Pro during whole class lessons. We will take turns passing it around the classroom using learning apps. While our classroom is not set up for an interactive whiteboard, this will take the place of one. I also am requesting an iPad Pro protective case and USB wall charger.
The iPad Pro will add excitement and a sense of community to our classroom learning!
My students enjoy using our smaller tablets and the school computers, but this new iPad Pro is something which most have not yet experienced. New technology equals increased student interest in the classroom. The simple act of working together and passing the iPad Pro from one student to another will also help to create a sense of community among my students.
