it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the joy you felt as a child when you played games that were both challenging and fun?
Be the first to help keep our Gifted students challenged in Math and Science concepts through the use of technology.Gifted kids are hyperactive and need technology as an outlet for Their learning.
Our school is fortunate to have an interactive white board(SMART BOARD) in the classroom that the kids literally fight over.
They love to play games, touch the board and compete. My Gifted Program students currently have discovered that joy through Chess and other challenging games which will help develop their logical Mathematical skills.
My students come from 4 schools to our Gifted center in Florida which is in a low socioeconomic area. They are highly capable learners that need some motivational activities to help challenge them.
Many of the students get bored in the general education setting and come to Gifted once a week. They expect to be involved with materials, resources and hands-on projects. The Gifted program provides this with the help of donors as yourself and we truly appreciate your generosity.
My Project
Technology such as the whiteboard interactive games and the digital camera microcopy will add to Their engagement of Math and Science.
I recently purchased a game that the kids love so much. It is a Math Quiz game show where they compete on the interactive white board. It is so fun and I'd like to get some more games that will keep them interested and engaged in Math through technology.
The students have begged me for more of these games.
I recently purchased several more of them from Lakeshore Learning after raising money at our school carnival in October. They are eating through the Math material at a fast paced speed and begging me to buy them more. This will mean so much to them and keep around 50 K-5 Gifted students engaged in Math and Science each week.
