This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Special Education students have varied learning styles. These styles range from visual, auditory, and kinesthetic to verbal. Some learn from watching instructional video clips while others learn by manipulating things. To keep their learning environment fun and engaging and to address their different learning styles, I provide varied activities for our centers that the students can choose from. These activities are an extension of what we are learning. The Hot Dots learning materials which teach phonics, basic reading and math lessons are interesting and engaging activities that my students can utilize during our small group or center activities.
