Interactive, Fun, Comfy Learning Environment

Help me give my students new seating, center games, and fun small group materials to enrich student learning in 3rd Grade.

My Project

The materials chosen for this project will be used for interactive small group, student led centers, and interactive learning experiences.

Students learn best when they are comfortable and participating in interactive activities that they have a voice in.

The materials of this project allow students to lead their rotations and give them the independence they desire to have in the classroom.

Our 3rd grade classroom will become a cozier learning environment with the implementation of new seating. The bean bag chairs in this project will be used for students during read to self time. Not all students have a cozy, safe place to read outside of the school building, and I am looking forward to giving them that opportunity.

The books chosen for this project reflect my students current interests and what they would like to read in class during their Read to Self time. The school library is not always readily available for students due to library class sessions. By having the books students are interested available in my classroom, I can fill that gap and keep a book in my students hand at all times. My students had a voice in choosing the books to be read during read alouds. Those books were added to this list to be read daily to students in our Read Aloud Lesson/Comprehension time.

Student will use the labels in this project to label their writing/illustration during the daily Writing Rotation. Students write paragraphs daily, then are instructed to draw a picture to match.

The games and hands-on materials will be utilized to provide multi-sensory activities for all students. Some students are not exposed to these unique materials outside of a school setting. They look forward to getting their hands on new materials to learn with.
