This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Student will benefit from having interactive journals on daily basis within the classroom.
With students having their own interactive journals, they will be able to keep mini benchmark anchor charts, graphic organizers, annotate text worksheet activities, teacher/student notes & etc.
Also, students will always be able to always refer back to their interactive notebook notes during class in order to get a better understanding of the grade level benchmarks. This will bring a great sense of ease to students are they navigate through their understanding and comprehension of the English language while reading grade level text. The interactive notebook will also provide students with a sense of security knowing that they can always refer to their notes for a better understanding. The overall goal for this project is English language learner students have access to resources and notes daily and be able to refer back to their notes in order to get a better understanding of the grade-level benchmarks while utilizing their word-to-word dictionaries during whole group and small groups instruction.
