Help me give my students tablets for the opportunity to engage with the Lilypad system of sewable electronics to teach them about circuits and programming.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
RSA is a Title I school that has a mostly Hispanic student population. Some of our students struggle with English and have disabilities. The hands-on activities will help close the academic gaps and make real-world connections. This project will build an interactive bulletin board that students will wire using conductive thread and program using the Lilypad light and temperature sensors and snapboards to activate LED lights when students touch parts of the board.
This project will ensure that my students have the same chances as everyone else to learn about circuits and electricity with an exciting hands-on light display.
My students will have brighter futures because of this incredible and generous program and its contributors.
