Interactive Display: Making Learning Hands On

My students need an interactive display. This interactive display brings the twenty first century to our science students. This board allows our students to take part in the learning experience like never before.

My Students

My students are creative, inquisitive and full of energy! They love doing hands-on activities and being engaged. I love challenging them and getting them to think outside the box when solving problems. Their desire to learn and succeed academically keeps me on my toes.

Our school is a science and technology magnet.

Because of this our population is incredibly diverse and draws students from all over to be part of the amazing programs we have. This puts a huge strain on the budget to make certain the educational experience they receive is hands on and will prepare everyone for college and career they day they leave us.

Every project I post is in support of our mission to ensure that students are being shaped into good citizens, critical thinkers, effective communicators and lifelong learners. Without the support of the community it would be difficult to provide the high quality education every student receives, thank you.

My Project

The interactive display is so much more than any other display technology ever available in the classroom. Science classrooms are active environments. In order to really learn science you need to interact with it. This board brings that interactivity to our students in new and exciting ways. They won't just be watching the teacher, me, present or demonstrate simulations of gravity and molecular bonding they will be doing it. Using their hands in front of the class. Using the streaming technology they will be presenting their projects from their seats or any where else in the classroom.

Have you ever had a bad seat in a class?

The seat that you couldn't really see the board or presentation from. With this board there are no bad seats in the house. The screen is bright enough to be seen outside during the day. The streaming capability allows the screen to be sent to every students Chromebook.

If a student is absent or wants to review what happened in class, no problem. Using this display the students will be able to get access to the lecture, demonstration or presentation at home. Everything that is done on the board can be recorded and posted to the classroom page for later viewings.

Speaking of learning outside the classroom. This display is going to come on a cart that can be wheeled any where in the classroom, even outside. Science is about solving problems and sometimes the best place to learn and find problems to solve is outside. With an extension cord and a little muscle the classroom can break free of its walls.
