Interactive Digital Resources to Enhance English Language Learning

Help me give my students subscriptions to BrainPOP ESL and Flocabulary for differentiation of digital resources to augment their learning of English.

My Students

I teach a spirited bunch of sprightly sprats who are English language learners, i.e. not native English speakers.

My students are inquisitive, energetic, eclectic, English-language learners.

Pre-existing lower income and socio-economic demographics are considerably aggravated by language and cultural barriers. Nevertheless, on their first day returning to school, students were eager to learn and divest themselves of previous woes. This funding opportunity will help supply some resources and bolster equitable access to education that connects them to a global community of learners free from linguistic barriers.

As an ESL (English as a second language) teacher, I merely seek resources to support students in such a direction to diverse the learning process and opportunities.

My Project

Learning English can be difficult and cumbersome to many. Reading out of a dictionary and other texts can be disengaging to many Generation-Y students.

Students who are used to interfacing with technology and smart-devices deserve access to engaging, academically oriented platforms and materials to enrich and further their education.

This is why we are asking for subscriptions to BrainPOP ESL and Flocabulary.

While other projects aim to increase equity of access to technology, this project seeks to enhance learning opportunities with distinct and diverse digital content that are reflective of the learning opportunities on the Internet.

Please help us better engage and further student learning of the English language and demonstrate the power of language to students.
