My Students
There is a big push for interactive lessons now. Sometimes it is hard to combine reading and interaction with technology. I want my students to experience reading with the fun and engaging way using the interactive whiteboard system.
I work at a Title 1 and Renaissance school.
My students come from families living well below the poverty line. My second grade students deserve to have modern technology available to them. Technology that will allow them to learn and teach each other.
My Project
As soon as I saw this interactive whiteboard system I immediately imagined myself using it in the classroom with interactive read aloud lessons and interactive writing model lessons. I can picture my students eager to share with one another using technology that is new and fun to use. My students will be able to make annotations on text samples and writing samples pointing out the crafts and the strategies that we're working on. They will also be able to share their writing samples and allow their peers to review and share and also make annotations on the samples.
Sometimes getting students engaged in reading, and applying strategies we teach them, can be hard.
I believe this interactive whiteboard system will get students' attention and create a classroom environment where learning happens natural and seamlessly.
