Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an amazing group of 20 Pre-K students! Our school is a Title I school in a high poverty area where all of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Many of my students are learning English as a second language. Despite all of this, my students are still eager to learn.
Every day they work their hardest by putting forth their best effort!
My Project
The alphabet carpet tiles will be such a great asset to my classroom! Children will be able to touch and look at the carpet square and they can change out and learn different letters each day. These carpet square can also be used in other areas at school such as the gym for indoor recess and outdoor recess!
These carpet square will be a vital piece to help my students learn their letters and sounds!
We know that young children are very hands on and enjoy getting to touch and move things. These will be perfect for my classroom!
