My students are high energy learners who crave new experiences. They love to be active and hands-on with their projects. When it comes to fresh new ideas, they rock! My kids are mostly from low-income families in our School District. This means that they do not always have the materials they need to be successful in the regular classroom. Our art room is small and our building is old, 1800's old! But with all of our challenges, my students are great artists despite our obstacles.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting are basic materials that our art budget does not have room for. The gold and silver pens will allow my students to explore the metallics used by Gustav Klimt. The art posters will teach my students basic art history. The posters we have are old and irrelevant and the visuals they provide will educate my kids about the arts.
These materials will enhance the learning of my students by providing them with the hands-on experience they crave.
They deserve to use good working materials that they can express themselves with. The art budget does not allow for extra markers or updated visuals.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
