This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each day, I teach my students with the desire to help them achieve greatness. The use of technology on a daily basis is a part of that journey to greatness. We use computers for all subjects in our classroom. An iPad will provide technology practice daily in tablet form in our classroom.

I teach in a Title 1 school with over 900 ELL learners.

My class is made up of 28 students including three students who speak very limited English and are new to the country. There are 27 English language learners in my class. My school has a high poverty level.

My Project

The iPad and case will be used daily in mathematics, science and social studies. Students will use it for research, math facts practice and science exploration. I will also engage them in small group instruction using the iPad to focus on specific learning standards, remediation and enrichment.

Our class receiving an iPad will be an exciting time.

The students enjoy using technology and will be able to learn how to properly use a tablet and applications on an iPad. They will enhance their knowledge of technology and be able to better use different methods of technology. Having an iPad will promote the integration of technology into our lessons as well.
