Integrating Immigrant Students to Our Classroom Community

Help me give my students Haitian Creole and Spanish books to help them integrate and feel included in their English classroom.

My Project

With the start of our new school year, I have more immigrant students this year than any other year. I cannot imagine how these children are feeling in a new school environment, in a new country. It is difficult for us to communicate and understand each other since I am not bilingual. Books with their native languages and English will help make the transition to school in America a bit easier.

I would love to support my new scholars with books to make them feel welcome and comfortable in their new school.

These multilingual books will help support my new students as they learn English and help create a smooth transition to their new environment!
