Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a diverse neighborhood. They are all eager learners despite the many challenges they may face. They come from diverse backgrounds, both economically and culturally. I am proud to say our school is all inclusive, and we celebrate the diversity of our students to the max.
Many of our families are first and second generation immigrant families who are new to the country, planting seeds for their own success and for future generations to come.
Education is a top priority, regardless. Invest in our future! We will all benefit!
My Project
Let's use art to communicate what we learn from history. Through art we can communicate and express our interpretation of what happened years ago. In addition, we can add our own ideas to how we see how certain events impact us today. The materials will give my students the tools to communicate their own analysis of historical events and how learning about the events help us learn and better understand why certain aspects of our society function in the way they do for better or for worse. Hopefully, leading to a better future.
