Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our first graders are comprised of students who are on grade level and some students who are below grade levels. Being able to support these students by providing them with centers to explore what they have learned while supporting their needs.
Our students are in a inclusive team teaching class that integrates students with disabilities to the general education.
About half of our students are below grade level and a quarter of our students are approaching while the others are on grade level.
My Project
My students need Language Instant Learning Centers, Teaching Reading Skills Activity Centers, Writing Journals, and a Writing Teaching Center to help develop their skills in reading, writing and math. My students also need encouragement by the use of the Treasure Box and supplies If our project is funded, our students would benefit from different center stations in reading, writing and math. We have requested Center Station kits in reading, writing as well as math. Our students would be able to use these kits as a kinesthetic approach to learning how to read with the use of phonics, word families and fluency. It will also provide our students with the skills they need to develop their writing skills. These center stations will encourage the students to guide their own learning while feeling safe to learn on their own level. We have also requested a Treasure Box and supplies so the kids can remain motivated.
If you would be kind to donate to our project, our students' education would be improved by being able to create center stations.
The students would be able to work on the skills learned in a variety of different ways. Your donation would create an environment that would support and motivate students to learn, no matter their ability.
