This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are boisterous learners with so many talents that don't always shine in a traditional educational setting. I have kids who tap out rhythms and hum while they work. Music courses through them and makes them feel happy! Happy learners are better learners!
I hope to leverage the joy that music brings with ukulele lessons!
I will be able to reach all the kids in my grade level, by rotating them through my class for ukulele lessons. They'll build literacy while singing rich and diverse songs, too, that align with our curriculum!
