Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, thoughtful, and eager to express themselves. At EBS, a progressive public DOE school in the Bronx, I strive to create a calm and caring classroom where students feel seen and valued.
With an instant film camera, students will document moments of joy, tranquility, collaboration, and personal growth, fostering mindfulness and community.
By displaying their photos, we will build a space that reflects their experiences and achievements, reinforcing their sense of belonging. This project will help students slow down, appreciate the present, and create lasting memories in a safe and supportive learning environment.
