Inspiring Young T-Shirt Designers!

Help me give my students the ability to design and print their own shirts, mugs, etc with a heat press, color printer, and ink. We are a virtual school, but have lots of fun hands-on activities in person. I would love for this to be one.

My Project

I teach at a virtual school. My students have chosen, for whatever reason, to be online for their schooling. Because of this, they do not get as much socialization with peers or teachers as in-person students would.

As a virtual school, we give our students the opportunity to come in weekly and do fun in-person activities.

This way they can get those important interactions that they miss, being online. We have a whole room dedicated to hands-on STEAM type activities. I would like to add a t-shirt/mug press and printer to this room. Students will be able to create their own designs in art class, or on their own, then see them come to life on a tangible object.

Not only will this give students the opportunity to learn to design, but they will be able to take part in the process from start to finish, and leave with something to take home that they created, and can be proud of. I think they will be very excited about this!
