This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are bright, eager learners who are working hard to develop their reading skills. However, they need more hands-on tools to fully engage with the material. Our classroom would greatly benefit from a class set of dry erase boards, CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word cards, and a storage cart to keep everything organized.
The dry erase boards will provide each student with their own space to practice writing letters, forming words, and drawing as they explore new concepts.
The CVC word cards are crucial for building foundational reading skills by allowing students to create and sound out simple words. These tools will make learning interactive and fun, which is especially important for young readers who thrive on movement and engagement.
To keep our classroom organized and ensure these materials are always accessible, we also need a storage cart. This cart will allow us to neatly store the dry erase boards, markers, and word cards, making it easy for students to find what they need and focus on learning.
