My Project
My 9th-12th grade students in my Advanced English courses need support throughout the year to enhance their writing skills to be become stronger writers. I want to provide each of my 150 students with a writing journal and a vocabulary journal that they will write in daily. I also want to provide them with different colors of highlighters and sticky notes to help them as they annotate passages to enhance their grammatical and analytical skills.
My goals for this project are for my students to develop a love of writing that will help them throughout their lives.
By providing the essentials for them to write consistently, it will help my students develop the vocabulary, sentence structure, and grammatical skills needed to become more confident readers and writers.
I feel that having students develop a habit of handwriting daily will help them be the impactful writers they need to be successful in their future.
