My Project

Currently, I'm new to this teaching position at the middle school and committed to working hard to provide a variety of experiences for our students. I am teaching four sections of Technology, Innovation, and Design classes at two different grade levels. For the last several years, our middle school has not offered these classes. Fortunately, now, our district can bring different opportunities back, so our students have more learning opportunities. The cool thing is, that this class has never been offered and it will allow our students to use their imagination and creativity and will teach some important life principles in exploring their passion or becoming young entrepreneurs.

This class will allow students to discover their passions or inspire them to become young entrepreneurs and create a business!

The technology, innovation, and design class will provide lessons that incorporate reading, science, and math! Students will learn about different passion projects along with different types of business principles. My classes will also focus on the Habits of Mind which includes teamwork, decision-making, and using critical thinking and planning skills, which are essential life-long skills. Students will also learn about business plans, models, and the fundamentals that are key to success. These learning experiences will allow our students to explore their creativity and imagination which will leave a lasting impression on our students.

Every spring, our middle school puts on a Summer Jam for our local community to showcase the learning of our students throughout the school year. At this event, I will be showcasing my class's passion and entrepreneurial projects. With your contribution, this will be a great way to give back to our local community.
