Inspiring Students to Become Global Citizens

My students need tools, such as On-level readers, hands-on civics activities, and audiovisual materials to help them become informed and active U.S. and global citizens.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Jordan's classroom raised $428

My Students

Everyone seems to like to complain about how the government and economy are fairing, but do they know why things are the way they are? Do they know how they can change it? The answer seems to be "No." Help today's youth become tomorrow's game changers in government and economics.

The students in my classroom have limitless potential, masked by a limited perspective of civics education.

In an area of the country so undervalued and misunderstood, my students have failed to realize that even teenagers from the state of Alabama can educate themselves to a level that can catapult them into a stratosphere of social and civic impact far beyond their understanding.

My Project

I have requested several items for our classroom that I believe will not only educate, but also involve my students in the civic and social process. The news readers will educate them on the world around them and keep them informed with current government, economic, and social trends. The election materials will allow them to take a hands-on approach to the process of voting and electing democratic leaders. The audio-visual content will show the struggle of Americans throughout history to earn the rights, liberties, and freedoms that our students so often take for granted.

The time is now for the students of our country to educate themselves on the democratic process.

The time is now for the students to get involved in the global community. The time is now to train up today's generation of youth to be tomorrows contributing and productive members of society. You can be a part of educating tomorrows government and economic leaders. Thank you for your time in reading our project proposal.
