Inspiring Students by Giving Students Access to the World
My students need Chromebooks in order to help students learn how to research, learn internet safety, and be exposed to the world outside their neighborhood.

My Students
My students come from a very low-income/high needs environment. The school is a Title I school in Philadelphia where 100% of our students are eligible for free meals. Many of my students are performing well below grade level.
My students do not have access to resources and technology to help them fulfill their goals and reach for their dreams.
I believe all students have the right to learn and succeed. In order to make sure students have the ability to learn, they just need a safe environment and the resources to learn.
My Project
My middle school students have limited access to the world around them. Many have not left their own neighborhood. Through technology the world is increasingly becoming smaller and smaller, and my students are being left behind.
My students need Chromebooks to give them access to the world outside of their neighborhood.
My students learn best through hands-on learning. The Chromebooks will be used daily in many different ways in the classroom.
Students will gain research techniques while planning and implementing experiments in the Science classroom. Students will also be able to research future careers and schools to help motivate them and give them promise for a brighter future.
My students learn best through hands-on learning at their own pace. With the addition of Chromebooks, I will be able to enable my students to work in stations to pace their learning and be able to repeat lesson material as needed.
