My Project
Now that we are in full swing into science, math, computer science, and engineering instruction, our students would benefit from some quality literature to support STEM learning! With literary connections, students will see that reading and writing are integrated into all subject areas.
Many of these books model and inspire the curious and innovative learners we want our students to be.
We can use them as read-aloud to kick off a new unit/activity or for independent reading when students complete a task early. These stories (I Am Peace, The Dot, The Day the Crayons Quit, Ish, etc.) will help to deliver background knowledge and model the practices of STEM to provide context and inspire students.
