This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The science materials, classroom supplies, and incentives I'm requesting will have a significant impact by creating a more hands-on and engaging learning experience. It will be my first time teaching 5th grade, and the students first time taking a state science test. They learn better through labs. Science should be exciting, not just something students read about.

Students explore and discover through hands-on experience.

The science supplies (science project materials, flashlights, composition books, pencils, cloths, and plastic cups) will enable my students to explore, experiment, and gain a deeper understanding of the 5th-grade science. The classroom supplies (black history month banners and homework folders) are put to use every single day. They are essential in everyday learning to support my students.

The incentives, like the stickers, pens, and bookmarks, will help encourage positive academic effort, participation, and behavior. When students know their hard work is recognized and celebrated, they're more motivated to try, even when things get challenging. This helps with class management and expectations.
