Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My preschool classroom is full of curious, creative, and energetic 4- and 5-year-olds who love to explore, express, and create. They come to school each day eager to learn through hands-on experiences that help them grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Many of my students are experiencing their very first year in a classroom, and I want to make it a joyful, meaningful beginning to their educational journey.

In our classroom, art is so much more than just painting or drawing—it's how children express their feelings, tell stories, build confidence, and develop fine motor skills.

An inviting and well-stocked art center is essential to nurturing their creativity and helping them grow in all areas of development.

With your help, I hope to provide a variety of materials to make our art center more engaging and accessible. We are in need of materials such as washable paints, easel paper, crayons, markers, construction paper, modeling clay and dough tools, and storage bins and organizers to keep everything tidy. These materials will allow my students to explore different textures, colors, and techniques, and bring their ideas to life.

By supporting this project, you're giving my students the opportunity to create freely, take pride in their work, and build the foundational skills they’ll carry with them into kindergarten and beyond. The art center also serves as a calming and expressive space, helping students regulate emotions and develop their sense of self.
