My Students
A robotics lab is an exciting learning environment that provides hands-on learning opportunities of variety of skills from planning, building, programing and competition. I view my students and jr. engineers in training, developing their interest in a variety of engineering fields.
In this class, we will be working with both pre-made robotics kits and building robots from scratch from other textiles.
My class is a part of a larger school that celebrates CTE educational opportunities. The students come to our school not only for the academics but the amazing electives they can be engaged in.
My Project
These materials will support the hands-on learning and building my students will do throughout the year as they explore the world of robotics. The materials will also provide opportunities to transfer their ideas from consumable materials to real textiles. Allowing students to work in groups, even with social distancing will allow them to experience the skills they need to function in society - collaboration, communication, safety, etc. As they apply real world applications to their challenges and builds, they are learning how to be a part of a group rather than working alone.
