Help me give my students important incentives like fidget toys, stamps, medals, and stickers to encourage and celebrate acts of kindness, inclusion, and compassion in our diverse, caring classroom community.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a diverse group of learners who care deeply about others. They come from many different countries, speak a variety of languages, and bring a wide range of life experiences and learning needs into our classroom. Despite their differences, they all share one powerful thing in common: a desire to build a classroom and school community centered on care, compassion, and kindness. To support this, I’m requesting a variety of fun, engaging incentives—like candy bracelets and necklaces, mini bubble wands, pop fidget toys, stretchy fidget strings, and foam glider planes.
These small rewards help reinforce kind, inclusive behavior in real time.
Whether they’re helping a classmate, inviting someone new to play, or standing up for a friend, students are recognized and celebrated for making our community stronger. Other items—like self-inking stamps, race cars, gold medals, basketball fidget games, stickers, scented highlighters and gel pens—will be used in a classroom kindness challenge where students track and reflect on their actions. Even toothbrushes are included as a thoughtful, practical reward that supports both health and dignity.
These resources don’t just motivate good behavior—they help build lifelong social-emotional skills like empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution. By reinforcing and celebrating the positive choices they make every day, we’re helping these young learners become the kind of people who will change the world for the better.
