Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will give my students books that reflect their cultures and experiences. These books will serve as windows for my students to see themselves and sliding doors opening new possibilities, boosting confidence, and helping meet academic goals through deeper reading and critical thinking.
Additionally, these books will teach my students to appreciate diverse backgrounds and cultures, fostering empathy, respect, and a deeper understanding of one another.
Using these books during read-aloud time encourages engagement, meaningful discussions, and creates an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued.
This project empowers students to embrace their identities, explore potential, and build a strong sense of belonging while thriving academically and personally.
