Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, every student's curiosity about the world's diverse history enriches our learning environment. This project explores the lives and contributions of influential figures from the US and globally, using biographies, documentaries, and interactive materials. Students will learn about courage, innovation, and resilience by studying individuals like Martin Luther King Jr. and Anne Frank.

Bringing these narratives into our classroom, we aim to inspire our students with real-world examples.

For instance, through the biography of Martin Luther King Jr., students will learn about the power of nonviolent activism and the importance of fighting for civil rights. Interactive activities will accompany these readings, such as group discussions, role-playing events, and project-based learning tasks, where students can explore the qualities that made these figures effective leaders and change-makers.

This project is not just about teaching history; it's about inspiring the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators. With your support, we can provide our students with the knowledge and inspiration they need to believe in their ability to make a difference, fostering an environment where they can draw connections between past lessons and future possibilities.
