My Project

This is my first year as an Elementary School Social Worker and I would love to have small library of books that portray many different emotions, life situations, resilience and adaptive coping strategies. I have plans to read to every class each month and discuss the themes of the books. The items in my project will help to advance the social emotional learning and the wellbeing of students, teachers and families.

Many students face big challenges and hardships and it is my job to help them find ways to cope and foster resilience so that they can be successful in the classroom.

I work with all students at our school, whether it be reading to the class or in small groups or individual meetings.
