This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard-working 6th grade students who are eager to ask questions love to learn. The majority of my students come from low-income backgrounds where resources are very limited at home. The community where they are living is an area where gang activity and crime are present. My students are part of the dual language program, in which they are learning Spanish and English at the same time. My students are creative, intelligent, and have great hopes for their future.
My Project
My students are eager learners who want to use more technology in their learning experience. We currently have one working computer in the classroom for all of us to use. This extra laptop will allow my students to do research independently, in pairs, or in groups to create innovative science and social studies projects. Most of my students have no technology at home, therefore they depend on the technology we provide in the classroom. A Chromebook will give my students the ease of doing research on the internet, creating PowerPoint presentations, typing research papers, plus so much more they can do.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
