Inspire Movement and Tap Into Touch

Help me give my students mats to do sensory activities on such as yoga and a variety of sensory materials to help when they get frustrated or overstimulated.

My Project

My students have a variety of disabilities and require a variety of hands-on activities to help stimulate their think tanks (brains). Throughout the day my students can get overstimulated and need a variety of ways to help them self-regulate their emotions and behaviors. The yoga mats will help them have a comfortable and clean area to stretch their bodies as well as get in touch with their inner selves and to help them learn to relax. The sensory materials such as the stretch balls and washable sensory bin fillers will help them have hands-on materials to keep their hands busy but to provide them with a way of learning through touch.
