My Project
All of the items on our list are materials needed to help our small drama club (grades 6-12) from auditions to performance. Items like highlighters and folders allow our students to delve into their scripts and stay organized. Paint, brushes, spike tape, and glow tape are all items that help our tech crew create props, sets, signs, and ensure set pieces are properly marked for placement and for safety. Cinch bags help keep costume accessories organized and laundry baskets help with transporting costumes to and from school as well as sorted to clean after performances.
Students who take part in theater benefit greatly because of what they're able to learn throughout the process of working on a play or musical.

10. Theater students (both performers and technical theater) learn how to appreciate the arts that lasts a lifetime.
My students are very passionate about their drama club and look forward to every audition, every show, and are so supportive of one another. My high school students are wonderful mentors for our middle school students that participate. It is such a joy to work with these young people each and every day.
